Can you tell the difference between a Jewels

Not without testing the gem to see what the
heat conductivity is (a diamond can conduct more
heat), or they must remove the gem from the mounting
and weigh it (a cubic zirconia weighs about 1.8
times heavier than a diamond). These are the
traditional tests that must be conducted to tell the
difference. There have been many instances to see if
jewelers can tell the difference just by examining
the gems with the naked eye. Over and over again, it
was inconclusive. Jewelers could not tell the
difference just by looking at the gems.
Are there different qualities of Cubic
Zirconia?
Definitely! The many different grades are
based on the purity of ingredients, the proportions
of the formula, the temperature and pressure at
which the elements are combined. Each stage is
critical in the production to insure the best

hardness scale. Jewels Lovers.com's Russian Cubic
Zirconia is much harder; therefore it can easily
scratch glass.
